and I am vain.
It's a running joke among my friends that I am into body care and sometimes voluntarily choose salad instead of burger and eat a little too many vitamins. They laugh, but do not find it strange to meet me with e.g. wearing a mud mask or eating salad at a music festival. Even my little son has stopped giving me a questioning look if I look a little strange after a treatment.
My interest in e.g. skin care started in the flowery teenage years with the fight against pimples so that self-confidence was maintained. As the years have gone by, interest has become more focused on general care, as pimple outbreaks are now better controlled, while signs of aging have become more dominant.
The idea behind the blog came from the fact that I have often been asked what I do for my skin. I have surfed lightly over the question as I want to sound "casual about it" as a man. But I want to share my experience and the research I base my consumption pattern on, as it might help or inspire other men and curious women. Although the skin is our largest organ, I will also touch on other topics within internal and external body care.
The majority of my care takes place in my own home, to save time and money, but I have also visited clinics. I have received treatments that have been super effective, but also some with less success. If you want to move faster and more effectively in relation to your skin, the clinics can offer many good courses, but they cost money, so if you don't earn a lot of money or/and also have other everyday expenses, then you have to save up, and cope with the small caring treatments at home. That's what I work with myself.
My background:
I am a trained Communication Designer, which is a professional bachelor from KEA. My education deals with storytelling, conceptual, visual and strategic communication and management of digital media. My basic course was Experience Marketing.
I have subsequently worked with communication in various positions - both external and internal as a PR employee, Social Media Manager in an NGO and a global lifestyle company, Project Coordinator within B2B events and now work as an Artwork Coordinator in a logistics department. The range is wide and the knowledge is extensive with work experience in small and large companies.
